Northwestern Bank Remodel

Natural light played a significant role in the design approach. The building's tall historic windows became a defining feature of the renovated interior, with a light, neutral material palette chosen to maximize daylight and create an open, inviting atmosphere. Behind the scenes, thoughtful details—including cushioned flooring beneath the carpeting at the teller stations—were incorporated to improve employee comfort throughout the workday. The result is a timeless environment that honors Northwestern Bank's heritage while providing a refreshed, functional, and welcoming space for both customers and staff.

The teller line was reconfigured to better support today's banking environment and refreshed with updated finishes that complement the building's classic architecture. New, durable flooring was selected to withstand the demands of a high-traffic public space, while six additional private offices were seamlessly incorporated into the existing floor plan to better serve both employees and customers. A custom display case at the main entrance celebrates the bank's rich history by showcasing historic artifacts, creating an immediate connection between the institution's legacy and its future.
